Overview Aerospace Systems and Requirements Engineer The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting Systems Engineering and Requirements Engineering activities for our clients. To be effective in this position, you must be comfortable creating and updating, validating and reviewing requirements and other systems engineering artifacts for complex aerospace systems and leverage, assess and deploy applicable methods, standards and tools. Your role Responsibilities Requirements Definition & Management: develop and maintain the body of knowledge related to needs and requirements across all system engineering lifecycle process activities; elicit, document, analyze, and manage stakeholder needs and requirements; transform needs into clear, unambiguous, and measurable stakeholder and system requirements; manage changes to requirements and maintain traceability; regularly review and report on requirements status and maturity, and prepare data sets and documentation for milestones reviews. Analysis and Definition: prepare for and manage business or mission analysis; define the problem and opportunity space; run functional analysis; evaluate alternative solution classes; analyze stakeholder and system requirements. Verification and Validation: communicate the relationship of needs and requirements to other systems engineering activities and artifacts; participate in verification and validation activities to ensure the system meets specified requirements; collaborate with cross-functional teams; effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders; interface with customers and government representatives. Standards & Processes: promote best practices related to needs, requirements, verification, and validation; facilitate implementation of lessons learned to improve efficiency; work with leaders to ensure projects meet their needs; support the shift from document-centric to data-centric practices by coaching and training other systems engineers. Skills and experience Experience with systems engineering processes, including requirements development, allocation, change management, verification, and validation. Proficiency in requirements database tools (e.g., DOORS, DOORS NG, Jama). Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) for architecture to requirements traceability and interface development; proficiency in MBSE tools (e.g., Cameo). Experience with relevant modelling languages and frameworks (e.g., SysML). Understanding of INCOSE guidelines for writing requirements. Systems Engineering certifications (e.g., INCOSE xSEP, OMG(OCSMP), or IREB) desired. Knowledge of system architecture and design principles. 3+ years domain expertise in a relevant Aerospace Engineering Domain. Please denote ATA chapter. Experience with CS/FAR Part 25 and applicable standards (e.g., ARP4754, DO-178, DO-254).
