Job Description
Our litigation department is in need of a legal assistant. The legal assistant's job is to assist the paralegals in preparing ongoing tax matters for trial and judgment. We are searching for applicants with a can-do attitude, great organizational skills, and outstanding communication ability. For this role, the capacity to multitask, take initiative, and adhere to deadline changes is crucial. The ideal applicant will also be a self-starter who is willing to pick up new skills and complete tasks with little direction..
Position details :
The ideal candidate should possess the qualities below:
 The legal assistant will assist, under the direction of the team litigation 
attorney and/or the litigation manager, in the preparation of pending tax 
cases for trial and judgment. 
1. Produce pleadings for delinquent tax cases 
2. Review and analyze ‘citation returns’ for status of service 
3. File documents by E-file 
4. Skip tracing (locating individual and their location)
5. All other duties assigned. 
1. Reasonable computer skills 
2. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel 
3. Detail oriented 
4. Ability to multitask 
5. Takes initiative 
6. Excellent organizational skill 
7. Must be able to prioritized job responsibilities
