Job DescriptionJob Description Seeking an experienced Construction Accountant to join our team! A fast-growing commercial HVAC/Plumbing contractor has an opening for a business savvy Construction Accountant. This is an exciting opportunity with an established mechanical contracting company that doubled its revenues last year and expects to maintain a similar growth pattern for the next several years. As Construction Accountant you will: Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and other financial reports Develop and analyze reporting for business operations and budgets Perform audits, ensuring adherence to standard requirements Create new processes to improve financial efficiency Report analysis and findings to management team Work closely with project managers, estimators, and operations teams to provide financial insight and support Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant industry regulations Manage project-specific accounting, including job-cost tracking, billing and financial reporting Monitor and reconcile project budgets, ensuring alignment with cost projections and contract requirements We are looking for a candidate with the personality and experience to meet the following requirements: Proven experience in construction accounting or project-based accounting Familiarity with construction management and accounting software (eg QuickBooks, Sage, Procore, or similar) Strong analytical and organizational skills Deadline and detail-oriented Ability to communicate effectively across departments Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field We offer: Salary commensurate with experience Paid vacation and holidays Health insurance Growth potential Those who are qualified and care about providing excellent client service should apply.
