The Dean of Enrollment Management and Student Success will provide innovative vision and leadership for the division while cultivating a caring learning environment centered on student success. This individual will develop, articulate, and implement a dynamic, forward-looking, metrics-based, and comprehensive strategic enrollment management plan. The Dean will collaborate across the college to ensure excellent, timely, and approachable student services and interactions and develop, monitor, and act upon student recruitment, retention, and graduation performance indicators. This individual will lead the design and execution of a systematic and evidence-based set of strategies and initiatives to enable Lamar Community College to grow its enrollment, retention, and completion.

The Dean will guide an institutional focus on the complete student experience from initial recruitment and retention efforts to completion. In this role, the Dean will oversee all duties of student accounts processes & Operations. The Dean of Enrollment Management and Student Success will use broad-based, collaborative, data-informed efforts to strengthen enrollment, retention, persistence, and completion efforts in collaboration with all divisions of the Institution.

As an employee of Lamar Community College and the Colorado Community College System, this position is required to uphold and enforce the policies of LCC and CCCS, and all local, state and federal laws. This position will comply with all student privacy laws (FERPA); and is a mandatory reporter of any suspected illegal activity.

Examples of Duties:

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Lead strategic enrollment and retention planning responsible for creating enrollment goals and strategies for targeted student populations to advance institutional growth, retention, and the college's mission of access.


  • Oversee functions of admissions, recruitment, financial aid, cashier, testing, student life, career services, and academic advising. Supervises, coaches, and evaluates the leadership in each of these areas.


  • Develop and execute an effective, analytics-driven, dynamic strategic enrollment and retention plans.


  • Initiate divisional budget requests and coordinate the execution of the approved budget.


  • Manages divisional facilities and equipment, including maintenance and control of inventory. Create communication plans for all admission, recruitment, and retention phases.


  • Work collaboratively with all other departments involved in the recruitment and admissions process, including marketing, foundation, athletic staff, etc.


  • Understand and communicate best practices, new processes, and training in all areas of admissions, recruitment, financial aid, registrar, testing, student life, career services, and academic advising.


  • Responsible for convening working groups and planning teams composed of faculty and staff from across the Institution to develop short-, medium- and long-range enrollment initiatives.


  • Build and maintain strong and collaborative relationships with other College leadership, working collegially with the members of the President's cabinet, faculty, staff, and others to develop and implement short- and long-term enrollment plans.

Assumes special responsibilities on assignment from the President.

Required Qualifications:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:



  • A master's degree in a related field with at least three years experience in admissions, student services, or other related areas.


  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication, including effective public speaking skills. A thorough understanding, appreciation, and commitment to the community college's mission.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Doctorate Degree


  • Five years of administrative-level work experience in student-facing departments in a higher education environment, including staff supervision and leadership.


  • Experience with data analysis and knowledge of effective assessment practices. Proven administrative and fiscal management experience.

Supplemental Information:

Salary Range: $58,000.00 - $70,000.00. The specific salary will be determined by the qualifications of the selected candidate, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information.
