Job Description

An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher with expertise in early childhood and elementary education, focusing on life skills development. This contract position supports students aged 3 to 6 years in a resource inclusion classroom setting. The role involves working with a caseload of approximately 19 students alongside four paraprofessionals and another certified teacher, providing a collaborative and supportive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, write, and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each students unique needs.
• Collaborate effectively with related services staff to ensure comprehensive support for students.
• Deliver instruction and adapt teaching methods to foster skill development and inclusion.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with educational standards.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to positive classroom dynamics.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Texas State License with Special Education EC-12 Endorsement.
• Demonstrated experience working with early childhood special education students.
• Proficiency in initiating and managing IEPs and student progress monitoring.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with paraprofessionals and other educators.
• Comfort and confidence in supporting young learners with diverse needs.

Location and Schedule:

• Position based in Dripping Springs, TX, with a focus on elementary-aged students.
• Typical working hours are from 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM, totaling 35 hours per week.
