We're a team of engineers who have built and hacked global-scale identity systems, backed by a16z and the founders and investors of leading startups and major identity companies. At Statics, where we're building the identity system for AI agents, allowing them to authenticate like humans so they can access data that's available to people but not to APIs.

We're looking for a Software Engineer to join our team in SF or NYC

Come make AI agents talk to other business systems. We make authentication layer for things like MCP and tool calling. This makes AI agents 100x more powerful in work settings and empower use cases from engineering to finance to sales & marketing.


Fresh funding & fast growing ARR. You'd be part of an early team that is on a rocket trajectory & would be part of a historical launch. You see some of the fastest growing AI startups as our clients and work on extremely fun & challenging tech.


About the role

As a Software Engineer at Statics, you will be an essential part of the product development dialogue, working to enhance the developer experience in helping AI agents access the right data!

Some features we are working on:


-Building a React page to help developers debug an AI agent's authentication flow

-Building a new REST API route to enable developers proactive discover data schema across enterprise applications

-Building reliability and explainability tools (including extensive LLM eval pipelines) to promote developer trust and encourage adoption

-Something you thought would help developers better adopt Statics and/or make our life easier

Our ideal candidate:


4+ years of experience as a full stack software engineer building products from 0 - 1

Work experience

-Some level of exceptional work; contributed at a top startup early, excelled at a top school, or something else impressive

-Has a history of getting promoted quickly at the listed companies.

-Tier 1 startup/high-growth startup experience is highly preferred (Ramp, Glean, C3.ai, etc.)

Hard skills

-TypeScript fluency with NestJS framework, exposure to Prisma ORM is a plus

NextJS and React work

-You are elegant yet pragmatic in your engineering approaches. You write good code, fast.


Bonus:


-You have built AI agents before (even in hackathon projects) or are highly engaged in the AI developer community

Not a fit:


-Experience only at big-tech or faang

-No willing to take the risk of an early stage startup

-Interviewing for 3+ months with many startups at once

-Learned to code through a bootcamp

Salary range:


$170k - $210k

Equity:

0.1% - 0.4%
