THE ROLE Position: Maintenance Tech Full-time at 106 Jefferson Curio by Hilton Hotel Reports To: Engineer Supervisor, Chief Engineer or Director of Engineering COMPANY OVERVIEW: Valor Hospitality is a leading hotel management company that is a trend setter in the hospitality market. POSITION PROFILE: The basic duties of Maintenance Tech.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION: - Preventive maintenance of guest rooms and equipment.
- Work in a team setting, as well as independently complete tasks assigned by managment and staff.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools.
- Minor drywall, plumbing, electrical work and paint skills
- Maintain professional appearance and clean workspace during your shift.
- 1 year experience in the related field.
- Any other work assigned by the Chief Engineer
- Push, Pull, Lift and Carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for 8 hours. Work from a ladder as needed. Bend, stretch and kneel to work on various equipment.
- $300 sign on bonus after 180 days of satisfactory employment - new hires only.
DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High school education or equivalent experience.
Experience: Experience required by position is from one to two years of employment in a related position with this company or other organization(s).
Skills and Abilities: Requires working knowledge of Maintenance and the hotel's services, policies and operations. Working knowledge is generally learned on-the-job. Communicate information and hotel services to management, staff and guests.
