Job Description
A diligent and detail-oriented Engine Test & Facility Support Technician is needed to ensure the smooth operation and readiness of the engine test facility. This role supports the test cell team by managing engine logistics, maintaining a safe and organized workspace, and ensuring resources are available for engine testing.
Key responsibilities-
Engine Handling and Setup:
o Transfer engines between shipping containers and test stands safely for pre- and post-testing phases.
Facility Management:
o Maintain a consistently organized, safe, and clean test facility according to safety protocols and regulations.
o Ensure the test facility, and its equipment are fully functional and prepared for testing operations before the arrival of the Test Cell Team.
o Coordinate the ordering and sample testing of fuel, ensuring its availability for the Test Cell Team.
Inventory and Materials Management:
o Perform inventory tasks, tracking and managing supplies needed for testing and facility maintenance.
o Oversee the proper storage and inventory of all chemicals and lubricants, ensuring they are correctly labeled and accompanied by current Safety Data Sheet (SDS) documentation to prevent usage beyond their shelf life.
Quality Assurance:
o Conduct quality inspections of engines before and after testing, identifying any damage or deviations from standards.
Qualifications
· Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of engine components and systems.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Strong commitment to safety procedures and protocols.
· Basic computer skills for inventory management and documentation.
