Overview:
We are seeking an experienced& Mechanical Design Engineer with deep expertise in SOLIDWORKS for a leading aerospace manufacturer located in North Hollywood, CA . This role requires a technically skilled professional with experience in data segregation, triaging, and team leadership . The ideal candidate will drive New Product Introduction (NPI) and sustain project engineering initiatives for aerospace mechanical systems.
Install, configure, and maintain SOLIDWORKS design projects, including aerospace mechanical systems.
Lead and mentor a design team, including offshore collaboration to meet project milestones.
Execute data segregation, triaging , and engineering project planning.
Develop methods/processes to optimize design flow, control, and execution.
Interact with project engineers, design engineers, mechanical engineers, and stress engineers for project alignment.
Oversee New Product Introduction (NPI) , technology development, and production modifications.
Conduct in-service reliability tracking, non-conforming material reviews , and obsolescence management .
Collaborate with customers to understand technical requirements and deliver design solutions.
7+ years of experience with SOLIDWORKS in an aerospace environment.
Hands-on experience with Data Segregation, Triaging, and Mechanical System Design .
Leadership skills to groom and guide design teams and coordinate with offshore teams.
Familiarity with New Product Introduction (NPI) and Sustaining Project Engineering .
Proficiency in SolidWorks / Catia software .
US Citizenship is required due to the nature of the work.

Preferred Experience:Experience with New Product Introduction and Technology Development in aerospace manufacturing.
Knowledge of in-service reliability tracking, obsolescence management, and production modifications .
Advanced understanding of Catia software and engineering change management .
