Specialty: Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Partner with Henry Ford St. John Hospital to provide Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine services for our pediatric patients. Location Henry Ford St. John Hospital, Detroit, Michigan EMR System Cerner Responsibilities Provide care to newborns admitted to inpatient units under supervision and consultation with neonatologists. Coordinate clinical care for newborns in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit, provide delivery room stabilization and accompany the transport team. Gather relevant data from records, assess newborns, formulate care plans and monitoring. Order tests, follow up results, perform procedures and document in the electronic health record. Communicate with subspecialists, nursing staff, and ancillary services. Provide direct treatment and management via prescriptive authority or referrals. Counsel and educate families/caregivers on preventive health, treatment options and community resources. Document delivery of health care in accordance with specialty standards. Qualifications BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire. Neonatal Resuscitation Certification. Registered Nurse credentialed from Michigan Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire. Neonatal Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Authority credentialed from Michigan Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire. Federal DEA license. National Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Certification.
