Job Title: Salesforce Developer

Location: Hybrid – On-site at Tysons, VA

Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire

Experience Level: Mid-Senior Level (5+ years)

Overview:

Rockwoods is seeking a Salesforce Developer to build, customize, and enhance Salesforce solutions for a leading financial services client. This role requires hands-on experience with Salesforce development, API integrations, and marketing automation tools , focusing on Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) and cross-cloud functionalities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and customize Salesforce applications using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Visualforce.
• Implement Marketing Cloud automation solutions , including Journey Builder, AMPscript, and SQL.
• Integrate Salesforce with platforms like Tableau, Snowflake, and Google Analytics via APIs.
• Optimize SFMC workflows, segmentation, and campaign execution .
• Support multi-business unit setups, platform security, and compliance (CAN-SPAM, CCPA, GLBA) .
• Debug and troubleshoot Salesforce configurations and automation scripts .
• Collaborate with IT, marketing, and analytics teams to align business needs with technical solutions.
• Maintain best practices for Salesforce development, CI/CD pipelines, and data management .

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Salesforce development , with a focus on Salesforce Marketing Cloud .
• Proficiency in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, and JavaScript .
• Strong understanding of AMPscript, SQL, and SFMC APIs .
• Experience with Salesforce integrations using REST/SOAP APIs .
• Knowledge of data modeling, segmentation, and marketing automation tools .
• Ability to troubleshoot Salesforce configurations, workflows, and scripts .
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in an Agile environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Salesforce certifications (e.g., Marketing Cloud Developer, Platform Developer I/II ).
• Experience with Snowflake, Tableau, Google Analytics, or Salesforce CDP .
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like GitHub, Jenkins, or Copado .
• Understanding of financial services regulations and data compliance .
